I enjoy creating fused-glass pieces that reflect the crazy gap between intention and surprise. I imagine endless glossy outcomes and then work backwards – playing with color and shape and then coaxing the kiln to cooperate. Of course, glass often has its own ideas, and those unexpected twists are my favorite part of the process, the part where the glass asserts itself.
